Facebook has just rolled out its new scheduling feature for Pages. This is great news for businesses that don’t have a ton of time to dedicate to social media. Now you can find a time that is convenient for you to sit down and schedule posts for the week. While programs like Hootsuite and Sprout Social have been offering batch scheduling for a while, Facebook posts scheduled through those platforms suffered from a lack of engagement. Due to Facebook’s complex algorithm, posting via apps like Hootsuite can cut likes and comments by as much as 88%, reports this study published in Mashable. Now that Facebook offers a scheduling feature, businesses should avoid posting their updates through a third party site.
However, the scheduler does have a few flaws, including the fact that it doesn’t allow you to edit posts once you’ve scheduled them, you can only edit the time. Follow this link to learn about 5 missteps that Mashable uncovered about this new feature.
