The Challenge

Network visibility is an extremely important and sometimes overlooked aspect of cyber security. Cisco engaged Spark Growth to spread awareness for Stealthwatch, a comprehensive network monitoring and analytics product, and to ultimately drive potential clients down the acquisition funnel. Spark Growth established the Guardians of the Network campaign to gain behind-the-scenes insight into the Stealthwatch product, and to further establish Cisco as a thought leader in network security.

The Action

  • Strategized and activated the Guardians of the Network campaign concept, aiming to shed light on the staff who help keep clients safe from cyber attacks
  • Organized and executed an office photoshoot to capture behind-the-scenes snapshots of the Stealthwatch staff
  • Interviewed and crafted unique profiles for each employee to be featured on the Guardians of the Network landing page
  • Generated engaging social content across Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook to promote the campaign

No Client Problem Too Complex

Dan Kascak has seen it all.

He saved an international travel provider hundreds of thousands of dollars when he discovered abnormal satellite data usage. He discovered a terabyte of data from a U.S. company being uploaded to Ukraine, where it didn’t operate.

With all that he’s seen, there’s no client problem too complex for him to identify and help solve. “Your mom always said: ‘Don’t talk to strangers,’ but what strangers has your computer been talking to?” Dan asks.

Scaling Protection with the Network

“Every single environment that I’ve ever seen has always been compromised, and that’s what’s most scary about what we do.”

Derek Dean doesn’t just have a flair for the dramatic; the reality of today’s cyber environment is as volatile and vulnerable as he says. Fortunately, he works for a team of people who make it their mission to improve that sometimes-bleak outlook.

“A lot of what I deal with are the really bad situations,” Derek says. “You could call it disaster recovery.” That often means pulling Stealthwatch Enterprise customers back to good standing when something goes wrong.
